Twelve:
In this project, I wanted to celebrate the origins of the pin-up girl as a key example of where female beauty standards are rooted, to represent how the pin-up girl may be presented today. Blending the visual aesthetic of Hollywood’s golden era with a contemporary twist, as each model exists within their own virtual environment, which suits their character’s theme. Twelve different models to represent the twelve months, to make my pin-up calendar. The accompanying fashion film travels through each of the 12 calendar months, where still images of the models are displayed in their unique virtual contexts, incorporating exciting transitions and a specially commissioned soundtrack.
